The flange nut is a nut with a wide flange at one end and can be used as an integral non-rotating washer. It has a self-locking serrated flange for excavating the material being fastened to prevent loosening. This serves to distribute the pressure of the nut on the part being fixed, thereby reducing the possibility of damaging the part and making it less susceptible to loosening due to the uneven fastening surface. The flange may be serrated to provide a locking action. Angled serrations to prevent rotation of the nut in the nut loosening direction.
