Vintage Musical Jolly Chimp Tin Toy DAISHIN C.K. WORKING A cymbal-banging monkey toy (also known as Jolly Chimp) is a mechanical depiction of a monkey holding a cymbal in each hand. His chest is constructed from recycled tin. FULLY WORKING - see video When activated he repeatedly bangs his cymbals together and, when you press his head he screeches, grins, and his eyes bulge out. This is a battery-operated cymbal-banging version. Requires D batteries (not included). The musical Jolly chimp was first produced in the 50s but I am not sure how of the age of this particular vintage toy. The monkey features in a variety of movies such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Toy Story 3 and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. He was preloved when I found him over 40 years ago, so shows signs of use in line with his age. Please look at the photos carefully before purchasing as he is sold as seen.
