Paraformaldehyde (4% in PBS) is a general histological tissue fixative. Best for immunohistochemistry and electron microscope application. Contains paraformaldehyde buffered to a neutral pH. Our PFA is designed ready to use and should not require any additive. Tissue specimens should be place immediately in PFA to prevent autolysis, putrefaction and other undesirable cellular changes. If necessary whole body perfusion should be done to ensure adequate fixation of cell level (see attachment file). Convenience and ready to use fixative.
